Beautiful Alien fan art is beautiful! Matei Apostolescu took a dark / sinister creature and created a vibrant masterpiece. Will it bite?
my second favorite meme!

“i think one of the difficulties of becoming a dictator is that once you achieve it you really have to commit to the fashion/hair style you had at the time of your self-appointment. (have a google, its a fact)”

“I’m beginning to think that Tumbler is the garbage can of the internet, and that were all just homeless people sifting through the garbage.”

“Looks like US attempts at quantitative easing aren’t turning out so well.
I guess the only option left to salvage their economy is to monopolise the US flag making industry and start issuing bad foreign policy decisions. I don’t know about you but I’m putting all my money in lighters”

Earlier today Stephen Colbert’s facebook page made available a digital version of his portrait. i had a free hour so i thought i’d make something. its a small token of appreciation to the Colbert Nation.
“if i were to make novelty flashlights in the shape or likeness of two historical figures, i’d pick Jesus and Buddha. Then, i think, people would literally experience the light of Christ and the enlightenment of Buddha.”

“I think that Santa Clause was the first person to ever use and successfully disguise child labour (elves, really?). He was also the first to purposefully move his business - the soliciting of goods (mainly toys) to children and the emotional blackmail directed at parents for payment - to another country, the North Pole, for tax purposes. Santa Clause maybe jolly and full of cheer, but let us not forget that he is first and foremost a shrewd businessman.”

“i think that the toilet, after the discovery of fire and the invention of the wheel, is mankind’s greatest invention. More reading, thought, and contemplation have been done on it than in any library ever built.”

In 1835 Karl Marx enrolled in the University of Bonn to study law. However, the bane of young Karl’s existence was the Property law course. No matter what he did or how hard he studied he just could not pass that damn course.
The struggle and frustration he endured from that course enabled young Karl (“Marxy” to his friends) to make one of the greatest contribution to the study and practice of law. That contribution is the lesson that success lies not in moving an immovable object, but finding a loophole around it.
oh, and he also wrote a book…
“They say that babies who are born with a silver spoon in their mouths have an easy life. What they fail to mention is that it must have been really horrible for the mother.”

Can it be that food is a precursor to whether or not a nation might become a world superpower?
Think about it, American food, still considered to be #1 by a considerable margin, is in decline (Note: the thing is decline is demand for American food, not American demand for food). On the other hand, Chinese and Indian food places are popping up all over the place with no sign of stopping or slowing down! Could it be an omen of things to come?
Also, what about the silent resurgence of sushi? Are the Japanese planning a major comeback?
